You can fly into JFK or Laguardia, but you'll have an hour (without traffic) drive, plus expensive bridge tolls and maybe road tolls too.
Philadelphia is about a 90 minute drive, and Trenton (regional) is about an hour.
If you're going to be driving anywhere, other than to the events we're having, bring some change for tolls. There aren't any tolls if you take the route suggested on the directions page from Newark's airport - though you WILL see signs for toll roads (you just won't have to pay a toll in the direction you're going). And leave yourself extra time getting back to the airport with a car rental. It's seriously confusing to drive there - especially to drop off your car.
